After reading the first chapter of Weaving the Web, I understand more of how someone can invent something so important and so epic to our generation. Before reading the first chapter of this book, I merely thought that he pulled out these ideas out of nowhere and BAM! The web was invented a week later. I see know though that it wasn’t like that. It wasn’t just ideas that he had, but a lot of it came from the things he read, the people he talked to, the place he worked and importantly, how interested he was in technology. Like Berners-lee stated in the last sentence of the first chapter, “…after hyperlink and the internet had come of age. The task left to me was to marry them together.” That is exactly what he did with a lot of hard work and dedication.

I thought the same way. Who knew that some one could create something from other people's research and put it all together.
