Hello Word (:

To start things off, my name is Alexa and I am now a senior at connally high school. I have been attending CHS all four years. I have also been a cheerleader here for all four years also. I am currently one of the two co-captains on the varsity squad. My life consists of AP classes, cheerleading, and as much social time as I can possibly fit into my hectic schedule. As of right now, I do not have a boyfriend. I’m extremely comfortable being by myself and I don’t plan on changing it any time soon. I honestly think I have too much stuff to focus on; I don’t need another added to that list. Now as far as best fiends go, I have got to say I have the 3 best friends anyone could possibly ask for. First is Christy. Christy and I have been best friends for what is now going on 13 years, - more than half of my life I have spent with her. Yall may have seen her around here with me, or on the field. Christy is the captain of the cheerleading team. The one thing I love most about here is that she practically lives in a bubble of optimism. When I’m around her I can’t help but feel less worried or less stressed about things that are going on in my life. My other best friend’s name is Ilsa. We call each other “twins” because we’re so much alike and we’re basically family. She’s been my best friend since I was 12 and she was 11. Lastly, my other best friends name is Chris. We’ve been through so much in such a short amount of time and we continue to grow closer. I love all 3 of them with my whole heart!

This year being my senior year and all, I am extremely focused on my school work. Not to say that I wasn’t the last three years I’ve been here but this year is going to make or break me. I’ve challenged myself this year with the courses I’ve selected to take. I’m trying to stay optimistic about being able to handle these classes, but I do have my worries. It’s nothing a little time and dedication can’t fix though. I hope to make it through my senior year with my head on straight.

College. I’m terrified yet extremely excited. I already know where I want to go. I plan on going to A&M Corpus Christi and I’m even planning to try out for the cheer squad if I get accepted. As far as what I want to do with the rest of my life, I’m so undecided, it’s ridiculous. But I’m sure I’ll find my “calling” just like everyone else does.

Another huge impact that has helped me get this far in life is my family, my backbone, my support system, my everything. My immediate family consists of my mom, my dad, my older sister, and my dog. They have done so much for me to help me get where I am now. I wouldn’t be the person I am without them. My morals values and good sense of attitude and heart come from my mom, who has always shown me kindness and support all throughout the 17 yrs of my life. My hard work, dedication, and headstrong attitude have come from my dad, who has showed me that if you want something and you are persistent at working for it, anything can happen. My ability to laugh at the little things in life and smile when times are tough comes from my sister, who has showed me that the easiest way to get over something is to laugh at it. My ability to love someone with my whole heart has come from my dog mia, who, just by being there has taught me to love someone. My grandma also, she is probably my biggest fan and supporter and I love her dearly.

Now that all of the basic stuff is out of the way here’s time for just little facts about me. I’ve been 5’1” since 6th grade and I will stay this tall for the rest of my life. I sleep, a lot. I have one heart, but I love like I have three, meaning once I care about you, I always will. I have been cheering since I was in the 2nd grade. Yes, I am one of those crazy twilight fans. I have read all the books about 3 times. By the way I read more than I watch TV. Shopping really does cure a hurt soul. I’m scared to grow up, but I’m also secretly excited. That’s all I can think of right now, any questions, just ask (:

"Speaking of support, I also have really awesome friends here at Connally as well. I stick to a smaller group of close friends. Those are the people who I can go to when I lose my temper, or I’m unsure of anything. Oh, I should probably add that all of my very best and close friends are all seniors. Yeah… I’m still not sure what I’ll do when they all graduate and go to college, but I know I’ll keep in touch with the people who are worth it. " <-- THATS YOU. your worth it :) forrrrrrrrr sure!
